Commentary from Revd Canon Prof Vera Calico, Director of the Usager Theological Institute of Bishop Beaver College, Seals Island, West Sussex, HER E5Y

Reverend Calico has become well known to the public for her broadcasting and books. Her book "Cats at the Altar" was a groundbreaking piece of work in the field of feline studies, and her Thought for the Day "We Were Never as Quiet as Church Mice" is perhaps the best known of her work for radio. Dr. Calico returned to England after a respite of four years teaching at Peabody Eastern Seminary in Glenview, Illinois. Her spiritual journey has brought her to ordained ministry in the Nonjuring Church after fourteen years with the Roman Catholic School Sisters of Perpetual Admonition. After some six years as Vice Chancellor of Bishop Beaver College she has now taken the post as Director of the Piltdown Theological Institute at Bishop Beaver College.
